About us
We didn’t set out to open a portrait shop.
Honestly. It started as a fun experiment, and then people kept asking for things.
A few nerds in Canada
We’re a small group of software people in Canada. The kind who spend a long weekend teaching a computer to do something just to see if it can, then show it to anyone who’ll sit still long enough.
Our something was faces. We built our own AI pipeline that does one job and does it well: it swaps a real person’s head and face into a picture, so the result still looks like them. Not a cartoon of them. Not their slightly-off cousin. Them.
“Can I have a copy of that?”
We tried it on ourselves first, then on friends, then on friends of friends. There was a lot of laughing at the kitchen table.
Then people started asking if they could keep theirs. Fair enough. So we worked out how to make a proper, full-size file you could actually own, rather than a screenshot of a screenshot.
“Can I hang it on the wall?”
Then more people asked the obvious next question. Which, to be fair, is the whole point of a portrait.
So we found printers who stretch real canvas by hand, put a person in charge of checking every canvas before it’s printed, and learned far more about canvas edges than any of us expected to.
And the rest is history. Recent history, admittedly. We’re new.
What we care about
It has to look like them. You see your portrait before you pay anything, and if a face isn’t right, you can fix it first.
Yes, it’s AI. We built it, we’re quite proud of it, and we’ll never pretend someone painted it with a brush.
Your photos are yours. We use them to make your portrait and delete them after 30 days.
No tricks. No countdown timers, no fake reviews, no made-up “was” prices. We know that makes us look a bit quieter than shops with ten thousand “real” glowing five-star reviews. We’re fine with that. We run this place the way we’d like other businesses to treat us, and we’d rather you came back because you liked it.
Show us yours
We love seeing where these portraits end up. Over the sofa, up the stairs, propped on a desk, wrapped as a present, or as somebody’s phone background. If yours has found a home, we’d really like to see it.
Tag us on Instagram, or reply to your order email with a photo. It honestly makes our day.
